The European Patent Office (EPO) has been offering applicants and other users of the system with additional flexibility during the coronavirus pandemic by extending many deadlines on a rolling basis (noting that not all deadlines are extendible even under these provisions). In view of a recent announcement, it appears that these rolling periods have now come to an end with a final date of 2 June 2020.
Users who require more time to deal with deadlines will need to rely on other remedies (often requiring the submission of evidence).
Should you have any questions regarding any of the above or assistance with any deadlines, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Dentons' patent team.
